nomorephat said: Hey, I love your blog! Especially your "Hungry?" section. I tried the oatmeal with bananas and cinnamon, and it was so delicious and filling, thank you! I wanted to ask about the Healthier Whole Wheat Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies because when I click on the link it takes me to a page not found. Could you post the recipe, pleeease? :D Like yourself, I can say that cookies are definitely my biggest weakness as well! TY!
Thank you so much and good luck on your health journey. :) I’m sorry about that link, it’s a reblog so I’m not sure this is the exact recipe, but this should help at least a bit.
1/2 cup hard margarine, softened
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1 cup packed light brown sugar (or Brown Splenda)
1/2 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups quick-cooking oats (or old fashioned)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional: 1 cup chopped walnuts)
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, apple sauce, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking
soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended.
Mix in the quick oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips.
Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
